Bringing the jungle fever to Mexico City, Grupo Gitano is coming in hot with a five-night fête of luxury and splendor to celebrate the arrival of the brand’s newest location, ‘GITANO MEXICO CITY’. T aking over the restaurant Helena and the club Phonique during Zona Maco art week, from Wednesday, February 9th through Sunday, February 13th, GITANO is bringing the brand’s classic flair for extra-ness ( a disco ball heaven set in a tropical jungle atmosphere) with the signature Latin cuisine-all in theme with the new arrival.

says “We love Mexico City and have lots of people telling us they want GITANO here, they want us to bring our Jungle Gypsy Disco vibe to Mexico City, as we did in NYC. What better time than during Zona Maco!” James Gardner, Grupo Gitano Founder & CEO.

For its first opening night, Executive Chef Alexandros Gkoutis chef’d it up to new levels with a special MEZE Tulum menu, fusing a blend of Aegean inspirations to the land of Mexico City with a curated lineup of greek salads, tabouli, grilled octopus, and more. From February 10th to February 13th, chef Antonio Maldonaldo is taking over the grill with some of his favorite dishes such as Truffle Tlayuda, Watermelon Salad, Carne Asada, and Branzino in Banana Leaf.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a true GITANO party without the stellar lineup of tunes, as music director Leo Leonski curates a Gypsy Disco lineup, similar to the sounds set in Tulum, Miami and New York City. The Restaurant at Helena is open to the public Wednesday 9th — Sunday 13th February for dinner daily from 6pm — 2am, with brunch on the weekend Saturday and Sunday 11am — 5pm. Reservations can be made on GITANO.com. The Private Club at Phonique is open Wednesday 9th — Sunday 13th from 8pm — 5am and is guest list and invitation only. For Inquires, email: [email protected]
